　　讓.迪布里特1975年生于比利時的安特衛(wèi)普，5歲時就顯示出了他的音樂才能，8歲開始學習古典吉他。1995年和1998年迪布里特以優(yōu)異成績分別畢業(yè)于Lemmens學院和Antwerp皇家音樂學院，并于2002年拜海牙皇家音樂學院的Zoran Dukic為師，完成了他在海牙皇家音樂學院的研究生課程，他是該學院第一個獲得哥羅寧根國際獎學金的非荷蘭人，同年獲得Robus基金。

　　1993年—2003年期間，迪布里特定期去西班牙拜訪Merongue de Cordoba以完善弗拉門哥演奏技巧。他與Vicente Amigo的邂逅使他演奏更獨具特色。在倫敦和杜易斯堡等地擔任音樂劇《可憐的雷絲》及多部歌劇中的吉他獨奏充分展示了他古典音樂的才華，而為當紅歌星John　Miles、Sandra Kim、Andrea Boccelli和土耳其歌星Tezerdi and Kubat伴奏則展示他非凡的流行音樂才華。

　　在他獲得意大利、比利時、德國、西班牙、英國、荷蘭、匈牙利和日本等許多有聲望的國際吉他大賽獎項后，他回到安特衛(wèi)普皇家音樂學院擔任教授一職。

　　2003年，他惜別皇家音樂學院，把精力放在了演奏、和作曲及世界巡回演出的職業(yè)生涯。

For the first time, Belgium’s Prince of the Classical Guitar, Jan Depreter, visits the People’s Republic of China. Mister Depreter arrived last week 5 April 2006 at Beijing International Airport. There he was welcomed by Mister Du Yipeng, president of Guitar W Company. On Mister Yipeng’s invitation, Jan Depreter has given 2 highly succesful charity concerts in Beijing Embassy Hall and in the Great Wall Concert Hall in Qinghuangdao, Hebei Province. There he also enjoyed may cultural visits to interesting Chinese Historical sites. All profits from the concerts are donated to the PLANETFINANCE project to support the very poor stuidents of Beijing to get a better education. Both concerts were co;pletely sold out.
